Welcome! I'm Katie, creator of Freebird Meditations.

Like many people, I've spent seasons of my life caught in overthinking, overwhelmed by life's challenges, and wondering how to navigate an increasingly fast, noisy, and complex world without losing myself in the process.

My path into mindfulness began as a personal search for greater peace, clarity, and connection. Over time, that exploration expanded to include embodiment, nervous system awareness, and a growing appreciation for the wisdom found through direct experience.

Today, my work is informed by more than twenty years in the mental health field, mindfulness teaching, and ongoing Somatic Experiencing® training. Through guided meditations, educational resources, and experiential programs, I help people cultivate greater awareness of both mind and body while developing a more grounded relationship with themselves.

At the heart of it all is a simple intention: creating space to slow down, listen more deeply, and reconnect with what is already here beneath the noise and distractions of modern life. From that place, we may discover a little more freedom, a little more ease, and learn to trust the currents that carry us.
