Welcome! I'm Katie, creator of Freebird Meditations & Somatics.
Like many people, I've spent seasons of my life caught in overthinking and overwhelmed by life's challenges, wondering how to navigate a fast, noisy, complex world without losing myself along the way.
My path into mindfulness began as a personal search for peace, clarity, and connection. Over time, it grew to include embodiment, nervous system awareness, and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom of direct experience.
Today my work draws on two decades in the mental health field, mindfulness teaching, and ongoing training in somatic, nervous system-informed approaches. Through guided meditations, educational resources, and experiential programs, I support others in cultivating awareness of both mind and body and building a more grounded relationship with themselves.
At the heart of it is a simple intention: to slow down, listen more deeply, and reconnect with what's already here beneath the noise. From that place, we find a little more freedom, a little more ease, and learn to trust the currents that carry us.
